Do Brochures Matter?

Do Brochures Matter?

Way before Rightmove existed, a physical set of particulars were an essential part of selling a home. Before the digital world took over, the traditional way to search for a home involved spending time browsing through these sets of particulars. For those of you that can remember these times, the particulars were hardly anything to shout home about. Usually made up with a few pages of flimsy paper with photographs stuck on, they left a lot to be desired. They did however, serve a purpose.
Now a days you can search for your next home from the comfort of your armchair, anytime of the day. Rightmove and other online platforms allow us to digitally browse for our next home. But does this mean that a physical brochure is no longer needed?
Do brochures matter these days?
Here at Sure, we believe that brochures are a fundamental part of selling a home. However, when we say ‘brochure’ we have a very specific style in mind, not just any old cobbled together set of particulars. We mean a lovingly crafted, bespoke and uniquely designed, eight to sixteen-page work of art. A professionally designed and professionally printed show case of your home which is a joy to thumb through and admire. A brochure in the same league as a luxury Spa or Hotel or the same level as a high-end car.
So why is a bespoke, high quality brochure so important?
If you think about a high-end jeweller or a hotel, their brochures are top notch. Why? Because they are selling a lifestyle not just a product or service. Their brochure matches the standard and quality of this lifestyle.
It is the same with your home. Your home is not a cheap commodity and it deserves a unique brochure that reflects the same value and quality as your home. One that show cases your home to its absolute finest and sells the lifestyle your home offers a prospective buyer. We have seen some very expensive houses being showcased in the most appalling brochures. With dark images, uninspiring text, printed off on flimsy paper on the office inkjet. We don’t believe this is good enough.
A brochure is the perfect way to wrap all the other marketing elements together in a wonderfully presented, bespoke way. Professional lifestyle photography; beautifully written text developed by a professional copywriter; unique branding for your home all brought together with a bespoke brochure will intrigue, engage and help the reader connect with your home.
Many agents rely on Rightmove and online advertisements alone. Looking at images and text on a computer or phone is very different than looking at a professionally printed brochure. Digitally images can appear cold, however printed they are warm and interesting. With a beautiful printed brochure in hand, whose house do you think a viewer will remember? A bespoke brochure will make your home stand out and bring your home to life. Photographs are meant to be printed and enjoyed, presenting them in a professionally printed brochure allows your buyer to really take in the detail.
Will a brochure help sell your house?
Then yes, we think so. Why? Because it’s all about the lifestyle and buying experience. Whilst a brochure alone will not sell your home, if all your marketing elements are the best they can be a brochure is the cherry on the cake. It is a unique way to help your buyers connect and fall in love with your home. Just like you did. A brochure is the ultimate way to present your home and showcase why it is special. If you have a special home, you need a special bespoke brochure to sell it.

With PM Keir Starmer warning it would be painful, the new government’s first Budget has been hotly awaited for some weeks now. In this article, we’ll look at what the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, announced – paying specific attention to what will affect the property market.

When considering the purchase of a ‘doer-upper’ – a property that requires refurbishment – landlords are often faced with a Shakespearean (ish) question: “To buy, or not to buy?”

After months of fevered speculation, Chancellor Rachel Reeves will unveil her autumn Budget next week (Wednesday 30 October). As the announcement could have important implications for landlords, let’s consider what might be included in it.

Earlier today, the Bank of England (B of E) announced that the base interest rate will be cut by 0.25 to 4.75%. This is good news for the property market.
